In the weekly magazine of the La Republica newspaper in Rome, Italy, a book was promoted; the book was entitled “La Cucina d’Armenia” (the Cuisine of Armenia” by Sonya Orfalian.. .

In promoting the book, the author used the following statement; “Sonya Orfalian’s Book has Wonderful Recipes from Villager’s Cuisine Yet it is Particularly to Discover the Humanity Adventure of a People which was the Victim of Genocide that has been Wiped off the Memories and that is not Very Well Known.

When reading it, one can not help saying that is the limit. Yet the comedy goes on; it talks about “a magical experience”, “the virtues of seeing Sonya when cooking”, “the opportunity for those who knows neither the author nor the Armenian legend to discover this extremely important as well as dreadful page of history”, “the enthusiasm of this great masterpiece” etc. It links the event to the themes that are of magazine in character such as “genocide” and “denials” and that are quite related (!) with the food culture. So many rubbish statements..

One can not help questioning what kind of logic produces propaganda even from eggplants and onions, attributes historical meanings to the kitchen worktop and brings in a big lie through saucepan and frying pan ..

Films, conferences, panels, web sites are finished; now it is time for cookery books and the recipes for the milk products… We are used to their efforts of indicating the propaganda material as evidence and of basing the source of their false rhetoric which reverberate today on fabricated and false documents which have been reveled years after the date at which the claims occurred and which have been repeatedly proven that they had been falsified yet this is the first time that we have encountered such a thing.

A subject which has to be taken out of the propaganda of “the oppressed and the unjustly treated” and examined in a document based, objective and analytically scientific way is almost turned into a marketing good.. The main ingredient of a historic concept is not vegetables and fruits but archives.!

What the Italian magazine/cooking expert (!) is trying to do here is nothing but “being the accomplice of the false state of unjust treatment” and cheap exploitation of feelings..

In fact those tactics that are far from seriousness and “too oily” can not go beyond making one laugh…We have already “had enough” of those lies..
