    Operation Nemesis Terrorism Armenian Revolutionary Committees

On 25 April, Armenia unveiled a monument in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, to glorify the terrorist Nemesis organization. Glorifying terrorists and mongering hatred against Turks, Turkey, and Azerbaijan may serve to solidify Armenian nationalism, however, the lessons of history show that such acts ultimately come to haunt and hurt Armenia itself and Armenians themselves. Rather than focusing on the Nemesis terrorists and their followers up to the present, this article will deal the historical roots of the radical Armenian nationalist terrorism and how it targeted and victimized the Armenians themselves.

Nowadays, the radical Armenian nationalists view and depict the terrorist organizations such as Nemesis, JCAG, and ASALA and as their heroes and the champions of the Armenian people and their cause. It is worthwhile to remember that these terrorists, as well as their Dashnak and Hunchak predecessors in the Ottoman Empire killed countless Armenians.

The Hunchaks and the Dashnaks, the self-proclaimed heroes of the Armenian people, have a long history of exploiting the Armenian population morally and materially in addition to targeting and killing countless Armenians who did not adopt their line. In the following sections, this article will first discuss the murder of rich Armenians as well as the ecclesial leaders of the Armenian community in the Ottoman Empire and elsewhere. It will then discuss the targeting of the ordinary people and peasants who fell victim to the cruelty of the Armenian revolutionary committees. Finally, the third section of the discussion will be devoted to those members of the Armenian committees who had the courage to express concern and dissent as to the policies of the committees or who preferred to depart from these committees and were therefore targeted by their own organizations. . . .

Introduction

Murad Khrimian (Murad of Sebastia/Sepastatsi Murad) was an Armenian fedayee (irregular fighter) who is not nearly known as much as the infamous Dashnaksutyun fedayee leader Andranig Ozanian. While Murad was described as one of Andranig’s most faithful and trusted associates[1], there seems to be insufficient scholarly studies on him. Interestingly, it is stated that there were two Murads from Sivas, the other being a Hunchak leader and parliamentarian, Hamparsum Boyajian. According to an article in the April 1987 issue of the Armenian Hye Sharzhoom newspaper, there were only two books about him published after his death. It was written that Murad never spoke about himself, while other Armenian “great heroes” like Andranig had their memoirs published.[2]

One of the few works that include the life and actions of Murad is Andranig Chalabian’s book titled “Revolutionary Figures”. The discourses and footnotes used in Chalabian’s chapter for Murad indicate that his book is a partisan source with highly questionable reliability. Nonetheless, its strikingly biased descriptions (used for Murad, the Armenian fedayeen and civilians, the Turkish government and officials, etc.) makes it an interesting source that can be quite informative with regards to demonstrating the radical Armenian nationalist mentality. An important source that Chalabian used for his description of Murad is the 1931 book on Murad written by Mikael Varandian. Since Varandian was the Dashnaksutyun’s (Armenian Revolutionary Federation - ARF) historian, it can be safe to assume that neither Varandian’s, nor Chalabian’s work on Murad are historically objective.[3]. . .

It is established that Mikaelyan, who is among the founders of the “Armenian Revolutionary Federation - Dashnaksutyun” (ARF), which is closely identified with Armenian acts of terror, is regarded as an Armenian hero within Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora that has expanded to various regions in the world, is among the prominent names in Armenian history and those who believed that an “Independent Armenia” can be realized through methods of terror.

How Genocide Allegation Lead to Terrorism on American Soil - (Rachel Maddow MSNBC)


On December 27, 2019, two commissioners of the California Board of Parole Hearings (BPH) granted provisional parole to Armenian Justice Commandos terrorist, Hampig Sassounian. In 2003, after serving 25 years of his life sentence for the 1982 assassination of the Turkish Consul General in Los Angeles, Sassounian became eligible to apply for early release, which he has insistently done in six prior parole hearings. His efforts to escape full accountability have failed, thanks to the good advocacy of the Turkish American community.

Only once before, on December 14, 2016, had Sassounian similarly been granted provisional parole. Thankfully, on May 12, 2017, former California Governor Jerry Brown properly overturned BPH's misguided decision and stopped the release of Sassounian.

Similarly, California’s new governor, Honorable Gavin Newsom, will soon review Sassounian’s parole file and the December 27, 2019, decision of the BPH.

The Critical Corner, an online publication of the Armenian News Network/Groong featured a three-part article by Eddie Arnavoudian, an Armenian-American author, who gave a highly romanticized and problematic account of the Dashnaktsutyun’s armed wing, the so-called Fedayeen.[1] Derived from an Arabic word, in the Dashnak literature the term means one who sacrifices himself for the cause of the party and people. According to Arnavoudian, the Dashnak Fedais were “the armed Armenian freedom fighters” and “deserve to be remembered well” since they fought “frequently epic battle … to protect Armenian village communities.” Moreover, they conducted many operations targeting supposedly cruel Kurds, Turkish and Russian officials to avenge the victimization of the innocent Armenian peasants and readily sacrificed themselves for the well-being and “sacred cause” of their people. . . .

Abstract: Although the United Nations adopted a range of conventions, decisions, and resolutions on combatting international terrorism, Armenia continues to carry out its actions that can be categorized as terrorism and ignores the resolutions of the global community adopted on this issue. As a result of support of terrorism in Armenia at a state level and impunity of these practices, Azerbaijanis and Turks have been exposed to Armenian terrorism and hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis have been expelled from their own lands. All the mentioned offences have been committed by Armenian terrorist groups against Azerbaijanis both inside and outside of the territory of Azerbaijan, also against the Mountain Jews in Guba region of Azerbaijan, against Georgians in Georgia, against Turks in Turkey and other countries at various times in history.

The terroristic organizations such as Armenakan, Hunchak, Dashnaktsutyun, Nemesis (acted out by Dashnaktsutyun), the secret group of DRO and its secret detachments of DRO-8, DRO-88, DRO-888, DRO-8888, Democratic Front were committed to the purpose of breaking up Turkish states. Armenian Secret Freedom Army (ASOA), Armenian Secret Army for the Freedom of Armenia (ASALA), Geregon created by ASALA, Armenian Movement of Freedom (AOD), Armenian Freedom Front, Justice Commandos of the Armenian Genocide, the group of Revanchists of Armenian Genocide, Armenian Unity, Apostol tried to force the Turkish government to recognize the Armenian genocide allegations, committed terroristic acts against Turkish diplomats, public figures, intellectuals, and other innocent people in different parts of the world.

After the establishment the Republic of Armenia in historically Azerbaijani lands, the same problem was put forward by anti-Azerbaijan and anti-government provocation in Nagorno Karabakh, while the Republic of Armenia has led a purposely terroristic policy in this direction.
