501) Diaspora Does Serve To Armenia Or US?

The statements made by Igor Muradian, the consultant for Armenian Intelligence Service, help us to form an idea regarding the changing mission of the Armenian diaspora in the US as well as the activities which the US staged in the Caucasians via the diaspora in the frame of its policies toward the region. . . .

Igor Muradian, who is, according to the surveys made by the Armenian media, is supposed to be among the most influential figures in Armenia and is considered to be one of leading political scientists, said that the lobbing activities of Armenian diaspora in the US completed its mission because the diaspora have gotten under the control of the US.

Muradian said that diaspora members believe that they are superior to Armenian politicians and officers looking down upon them and regarding them as inferior. The consultant indicated that the gap between Armenia and the diaspora widens.

The consultant further stated that Robert Kocharian, the Armenian head of state, is not a decent partner for the diaspora, and even though there was once directs phone lines between the diaspora and all the presidents but Kocharian broke the custom. Muradian said that Kocharian, who has solid relations with Russia, avoids direct talks with diaspora’s authorities for this reason. That is to say, the reason for failing direct relation between the Armenian diaspora and Kocharian is Russia. Indeed Russia is displeased that the rising American domination in the region focuses on Armenia, which has strategic importance for Russia itself, via diaspora.

According to Muradian, the crises arose between the Armenian diaspora and Armenia is that the diaspora serves others (!) His statements are very interesting in that the American Armenian Assembly has passed a resolution against “fanatic Armenian nationalism” and the said decision is a great blow to the patriot nationalists who defend Armenia and Nagorno Karabagh against Turkey…

On the other hand, Muradian said “the American Armenian Assembly conducts intelligence activities in Armenia and Nagorno Karabagh”, and this statement proves that Russia, which is concerned about the possibility of America reaching the region via the diaspora, is not mistaken in its feelings.

According to the statement made during the last week of December by the consultant for the Armenian Intelligence Service, Igor Muradian, Six Armenian citizens in Armenia and one in Nagorno Karabagh work for the assembly, that is to say indirectly for the CIA. The information collected for the assembly includes “Armenian Armed Forces, current arms and munitions, the top officers, purchase and sale of the arms, the country’s readiness for a war, future plans of the armed forces military, the media bosses, the economic interest of the party leaders and their relations with foreign countries, and especially the Defense Minister Aram Sarkisian economic relations with Russia, whether or not political and military authorities can be engaged in economical motives, S-300 missile systems which Armenia has or plans to have, the air forces, and the thickness of existing tanks’ armor.”

Muradian said that the assembly is of very intensive interest to the military intelligence and its representatives have visited Nagorno Karabagh, talking with the military officers in the region and making black lists for the CIA. The consultant for the intelligence service claimed that all these activities were organized by the American Ambassador John Evans in Yerevan.

Keeping on his serious imputations against the US Muradian said that on two occasions documents were stolen from the office of the Armenian military attaché who is in charge in the USA and these were done by the military attaché of Belarus, who had seen the documents on the table of the attaché while visiting him, then the Belarusian attaché brought the documents to the US authorities. Muradian said that this scandal was covered by Armenian diaspora and the Armenian Armed forces imposed a ban upon its top officer not to communicate with the assembly realizing the existing hazards.

Muradian’s imputations about the Armenian diaspora are not limited to the US. Muradian said that nowadays the intelligence formed on basis of “ethnic intelligence” and many countries were not hesitating to use ethnic origins. Muradian added that “Armenian diaspora serve the intelligence service of the countries where they live, forgetting their identity and assimilating into the societies”

That is dedicated to those who say “The Armenian diaspora will help lift up the so-called embargo against Armenia… Armenian lobby is ensuring American aid to Armenia and Nagorno Karabagh to be raised… The diaspora has a great role in initiatives to pass the so-called Armenian genocide in the House of Representatives and the Senate in the US.”
