Dear Friends,
We are sending this announcement to Turks, Americans of Turkish descent, and to other friends of Turkey across the globe.
First, we would like to invite everybody to visit our website at www.turkishpac.org, where we are attempting to construct a compendium of original documents concerning the Armenian problem. The site is still under construction, especially the History and Archives section. The ultimate goal is to create a compact document, in Wikipedia format, where every statement is backed up by a link to archival evidence. We would appreciate your comments to the textual content and your contributions to the originals.
Second, for those of us who can vote in the U.S., we would like to announce the new e-mail campaign to the U.S. Congress regarding the Armenian-supported resolutions HR/SR 106. Please follow the directions at our website www.turkishpac.org, type in your 9-digit zip code (if you do not know the last 4 numbers, you can just type your U.S. address), and send the sample letter (copy attached) to your district representatives. Congressmen have to pay attention to their constituency’s opinions. We are working on an additional sample letter in Executive Summary format (3-4 paragraphs only), which will soon be posted as an alternative.
Third, for those of us who live in Houston, we would like to invite everybody to the intersection of Westheimer and Post Oak Streets, today Saturday, April 21, 2007, between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Yesterday, our members, who take 2-hr shifts at the Starbucks at that location, alerted us that Armenians showed up to distribute pamphlets, as they usually do every year around this time (April 24). Quickly, we were able to gather 20 or so of our own demonstrators, opened our own banners and distributed our own brochures. We heard them say they were going to do the same thing today. We must be there in even stronger numbers to counter their show. It is very important to show them that they no longer get a free ride. . .
We thank our contributors for their donation; and thank you, ahead of time, for your collaboration.
Warm regards.
